About the event
Join Mark Reynolds of Naughty Nettles on this 2.5 hour guided wild weed walk of summer plants. Also learn how to make an herbal infused vinegar 🫙🌿
We will explore how to identify wild edible, medicinal and poisonous plants growing in and around Kahnawake and Turtle Island during the summer season.
We will also learn the different techniques of respectful foraging and medicine making. Freshly picked herbal tea will be on offer so please bring a cup for hot tea.
This walk will focus a little more on herbal transformations, so please bring a small jar (250ml or less) to make a herbal vinegar elixir inside.
Space will be left for others to share their own plant practices, experiences and beliefs.
This tour will go ahead come rain or shine. In case of wet weather, an indoor class focusing more on herbal transformations and botany will be shared instead.
